Karen Kingsbury’s The Bridge is an unfinished story that probably should not have been split into two movies, while Debbie Macomber’s Dashing Through the Snow is a delightful, if flawed tale.
Having seen both movies, I can’t help but think that Hallmark made a mistake with this move. In My Humble Opinion: Debbie Macomber’s Dashing Through the Snow suffered the indignity of being shunted by Hallmark last minute to its sister channel when it decided to make Karen Kingsbury’s The Bridgea two-year movie series. And with a hint of romance suddenly filling the air, these two also might just fall in love. So the pair reluctantly rent a car together, having no clue of a wild ride ahead that will find them rescuing a lost puppy, running into petty thieves and getting caught up in a case of mistaken identity. But when they want to fly, every flight is full. He’s also got to be in Seattle for a job interview.
